Technology Assessment: IT assessment and technology risk review

Find out where you stand. We review your systems, people, spending, and risk, and give you a stop, keep, fix, or replace list and a 90-day plan. It's the usual first step.

We sit with the owner, the people who use the systems every day, and the person who runs them. We take stock of what you have, read your IT company’s contract if there is one, and, with your written permission, run a light check of your network from the outside.

The report is short on purpose. It tells you what to stop paying for, what to keep, what to fix, what to replace, and what to do in the first 90 days, in an order your team can follow. See a sample one-page summary for a made-up company.

What you get

  • A one-page summary in plain English
  • A list of what to stop, keep, fix, or replace
  • An honest read on your IT company or team
  • A 90-day plan in an order your team can follow
  • A short look at AI and other tools staff use without approval

Questions

Do you replace our IT company?

Not by default. The assessment often makes their job easier, because the priorities are finally written down and owned. If the IT company is the problem, we tell you and explain why.

How do you hit 10 business days?

The clock starts when the scope is signed, the review account works, the core documents are in (your IT contract and insurance application, if you have them), and every interview is on the calendar. If an interview moves or access slips, the date moves by the same amount, and we tell you the new date the same day.

Do you scan our network?

Lightly, from a temporary cloud server, and only with your written permission. We look for doors left open to the internet. This is not a penetration test (a paid, simulated attack). If you need one, we help you choose a firm that does them.
