# About Northcreek

Most growing businesses reach a point where technology stops keeping up. The systems get more complex. The bills go up. The IT company or the internal team is busy, but nobody owns the plan. The owner and the CFO feel it first, and they usually can't get a straight answer about why.

Northcreek Technology gives those businesses the technology and security leadership they need, for the part of the month they need it, without the cost of a full-time executive. We started the company in Bentonville in 2024. Northcreek is veteran-owned.

## What we're trying to do

We want business owners and their leadership teams to understand their technology in plain English, trust the people who run it, and know what it costs and why. When that happens, IT stops being a source of stress and starts helping the business grow.

We do that by finding out what's true, writing it down on one page, and then fixing it. Sometimes that means a better plan. Sometimes it means a different IT company or a reset for the team. Often it means getting leadership and IT to agree on the same priorities.

## Who we work with

We work with growing businesses in Northwest Arkansas: manufacturers, professional firms, clinics, contractors, and companies backed by private equity. We work through introductions from the people who already advise them, such as insurance brokers, CPAs, outsourced CFOs, and business attorneys.

## On your side of the table

We don't sell hardware, software, or IT support, and we don't take a cut for recommending anyone. It's in our contract: no referral fees, no commissions, no resale margin.

Some work needs people on call around the clock, such as security monitoring (often called a SOC or MDR), incident response, penetration testing, or an insurance policy. When you need one of those, we help you choose a firm that does the work every day and make the introduction. After that, you decide how involved you want us to be.

## Our founder

Andrew Healey founded Northcreek. He has sat in all three chairs in this conversation. He spent about ten years as chief technology and security officer of an IT services firm in Seattle, where he set its direction, so he knows what your IT company can and can't do and what it's thinking when the owner calls. He has spent more than 15 years inside manufacturers, including as the IT leader working nights and still falling behind. And he has been the security leader for a business three times, the seat that answers to the owner, the insurer, and the board, including at a medical device company backed by private equity.

He holds a master's degree in cybersecurity and information assurance and the CISSP and OSCP certifications, and he still does hands-on work. He has spoken at the Arkansas IT Symposium, is a member of InfraGard Arkansas, and serves on a community college's technology advisory board. His full background is below.

Andrew is a Marine Corps veteran who served at Al Habbaniyah, Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a Christian, has been married for 20 years, and has three daughters. He is a proud University of Arkansas dad.

## How we work

### Tell the truth on one page

Plain English, with a date and a named owner on every action. If it's working, we say so. If it isn't, we say that too, early.

### Be hard on problems and good to people

A struggling team is usually a leadership problem first. We fix the system before we judge the person.

### Pick the simple thing that works

We choose what fits your business, and we never recommend a tool because it pays us.

### Own the work

If we say we'll do it, it's done by the date, or you hear why before the date.

### Stay after a bad weekend

When something goes wrong, we're in the room.
